Suspecting these weren't actually WALNUT, I called and asked the phone associate if they are REALLY WALNUT. After a brief time on hold, she returned to say they are indeed WALNUT. As I (still) suspected while ordering them, THEY ARE NOT WALNUT! They are MDF; medium-density FIBREBOARD. In other words, sawdust and wood shavings combined with a resin binder, compressed into panels, and in this case, painted to LOOK like WALNUT. THEY ARE NOT WALNUT.

Yes, they are walnut finish and not genuine walnut as described in the product description. We are sorry our customer service provided the incorrect information. You can obviously return the order for a full refund.
